Ellis Ericson is an interesting fellow. His style in the water is unique, based more on flow and expression compared with the technically-inclined riders we see mostly. He runs a microscope over surfboard design from across the eras, handpicking the features he likes from each and combining with modern techniques to push surfing into new places. This clip is the latest episode of RVCA’s Inspired By series which provides a peek into the headspace of their team riders. What gets their wheels turning? How did they find themselves on the books of one of surfing’s most relevant labels? In Ellis’s case, were they hurt in the process? Tune in above for two minutes with Mr Ericson, a few entertaining stories and some delicious twin high-lines.
