Everything but the claims

Watching a clip like this really makes you question just how much claims are a premeditated decision by surfers to put pressure on the judges. ‘Cause like, how many nine plus rides are in this thing and yet not a single claim among ‘em (well, one at the end maybe)? Then again, riding caves blind on the foam ball within the constraints of a 30-minute heat does twist the pressure gauge up a little. Hmmm, we’ll let you decide for the time being.
