Watch: Griffin Colapinto’s New Film Is Elegant Surf Porn

The prospect of Tour-less 2020 is starting to dawn on us.

On one hand, yeah, that sucks. But on the other hand (assuming some of the travel bans are lifted in the next couple months), we might finally get to answer the ancient equistential query: what would happen if the world’s best surfers didn’t have to worry about banging four-to-shore or tweaking their ankle for a full calendar year?

In other words, would we see the best film parts ever compiled by John, Jordy, Julian, and the infamously-immune-to-freesurfing-clips Gabriel Medina?

We’d be remiss not to include some of the Tour’s younger statemen—like Griffin Colapinto, Seth Moniz, and Ethan Ewing—in that conversation. And if Griffin’s new mid-length film, ‘Why Not’, is any indication of their potential, we’d be more than eager to watch the quarantine cuts of all three Billabong studs come the end of 2020.

It’s probably a few World Titles too soon to call this but…could they be the new Trilogy?

Watch Why Not above and let us know. It’s elegant surf porn.
